What is VEX? 
VEX Robotics is an educational program for everyone. VEX Solutions span all levels of both formal and informal education with accessible, scalable, and affordable solutions. Beyond science and engineering principles, VEX robotics encourages creativity, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving among groups. 

Who is involved in VEX?
Students are fully the heart of VEX Robotics. Tony Norman and Bob Mimlitch met early in their careers and decided to combine their engineering fields and make VEX Robotics a creative program for kids for all ages. 

Where are the Competitions?
Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April!

When was VEX Founded?
VEX Robotics Competitions were founded in 2007 by Tony Norman, and Electrical Engineer, and Bob Mimlitch, a Mechanical Engineer.

2022: Spin Up

VEX Robotics Competition Spin Up is played on a 12’x12’ square field configured as seen above. Two (2) Alliances – one (1) “red” and one (1) “blue” – composed of two (2) Teams each, compete in matches consisting of a fifteen (15) second Autonomous Period, followed by a one minute and forty-five second (1:45) Driver Controlled Period.
The object of the game is to attain a higher score than the opposing Alliance by Scoring Discs in Goals, Owning Rollers, and Covering field tiles at the end of the Match.
