Pre-Season Workshops
Team 203 offers workshops in the areas of scouting, fabrication, programming, business, and most importantly, social skills in order to increase the involvement and productivity of our members. These workshops are held during the pre-season and continue to be open during the build season for new members. During these workshops, our members are able to learn about other sub teams that they may have not joined the season before. Our team also holds these workshops for our mentoring and assisting teams. However, if you are interested in attending our workshops, please email us: [email protected].
CAD Workshop
Our team holds a series of casual work sessions where new and current members can learn, practice, and enhance their CAD skills in an informal environment, guided and mentored by senior members. At the end of the workshop, students test their CADing abilities by designing and 3D printing a robot. |
Machine Practices Workshop
This workshop provides members with hands-on experience before the build season begins. The workshop begins with introducing handheld power tools and their applications. Then, students are introduced to more advanced machinery, such as the lathe and mill machine. To complete this workshop, members must successfully measure, mark, and cut an angle bracket that will be later used in prototyping. |
Programming Workshop
Our programming workshops are unique so that any student, even if s/he does not have any prior programming experience, can attend and become proficient in C++, JavaScript, and FRC programming. Our week long workshop teaches our members about the fundamentals of programming and tests their skills by creating a program to operate a robot. |
