STEM Contests & Competitions
● The Intel International Science & Engineering Fair is a precollege science competition that is open for high school students. There are 22 different subcategories of STEAM fields in which students may choose to compete and there are about 600 individual awards to win from, including tuition scholarships, summer internships, scientific field trips, and laboratory equipment.
● The Google Science Fair is an online science and technology competition open to individual students and teams comprised of students ages 13-18. Students compete in regional competitions across the world, and only 16 global finalists will travel to Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California to present their projects to judges. Finalists receive a variety of swag, including magazine subscriptions. The grand prize is $50,000 in scholarship finding and there are seven other individual awards, which range from $5,000-15,000 in scholarship funding.
● The Regeron Science Talent Search is a science competition that is specifically for high school seniors. In this competition, students showcase original research in science and math areas. There are 300 semifinalists, 40 finalists, and of those finalists, only ten are chosen as the Top 10 finalists and are awarded with monetary prizes up to $250,000 each.
Summer Programs
● The National Geographic Student Expeditions is middle and high school summer program where students can participate in an expedition, community service program, photo workshop, or university workshop. On all of the programs, students will pursue projects related to their interest. That could mean creating a field guide, a portfolio of photographs, or a proposal for a project to carry out at home. At the end of the trip, students must present what they have created with their groups.

● The John Hopkins University's Engineering Innovation (EI) is an exciting, hands-on summer course for motivated high school students with an aptitude in math and science and an interest in (or curiosity about) engineering. In this program, students learn to think and problem-solve like engineers and have the opportunity to earn Johns Hopkins University credits. Over the four-five week program, students complete lab activities in civil, chemical, electrical/computer, mechanical engineering and materials science.

● The Carnegie Mellon University's Summer Academy for Math & Science (SAMS) is open for high school students entering their junior or senior year. Admitted students will engage in a rigorous curriculum taught by CMU's faculty and staff for a six week period. Students will have the opportunity to choose from two academic tracks: Science and Engineering and Computer Science. Both tracks allow students to develop a deeper understanding in areas such as mathematics, physics, and computer programming via traditional classroom instruction and hand-on projects.

● Selected students will not have to pay to attend.
Scholarships
● The Questbridge National College Match is a college and scholarship application process that helps outstanding low-income high school seniors gain admission and full four-year scholarships to the nation's most selective colleges. The College Match Scholarships, which are provided by participating colleges, cover full cost of tuition, room and board, are loan-free, and require no parental contribution. Students who apply and do not get "matched" with a college partner still receive amazing financial aid packages and benefits through the Questbridge program like fee waivers and assistance from Questbridge scholars.

● The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program selects numerous recipients each year to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years – up to $40,000 total per recipient. Awards are for undergraduate study and may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. In addition, Scholars are invited to participate in a special awards program and receive ongoing leadership-development support.
